When you approach your JLG 450AJ, it’s important to begin with a thorough walk-around inspection to ensure safe operation.

  • Check for visible damage to machine components like the boom, tires, hoses, and wiring.
  • Ensure there are no fluid leaks, loose fittings, or debris in areas like the hydraulic system, fuel tank, and engine.
  • Inspect the operator’s platform, safety decals, and switches to confirm all are clean, intact, and functional.

Daily Inspection

Perform a detailed daily inspection to keep your 450AJ in peak working condition. Follow these key steps:

  • Check engine oil and coolant levels, replenishing them if necessary.
  • Inspect the hydraulic oil level and top it off if required, using the sight gauge to ensure proper levels.
  • Inspect fuel levels and make sure the fuel tank is securely sealed.

1200 Hour Maintenance

  • Change the hydraulic oil to maintain the system's efficiency.
  • Inspect and clean the hydraulic tank and suction strainers.
