The MTA 5519 offers a compact frame with impressive lift height, tight turning radius, and a 5,500 lb. capacity—ideal for maneuvering through confined job sites. Don’t forget to stay on top of your maintenance—secure the parts you need to keep your MTA 5519 running smoothly!
Walk-Around Inspection
- Check forks, carriage, and boom for cracks, wear, and mounting pin condition
- Inspect tires for pressure (65 psi), tread wear, and lug nut torque (450 ft-lbs)
- Verify all fluid levels: engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid, brake fluid, and fuel
- Check for leaks at hoses, cylinders, and filters
- Ensure safety decals, mirrors, backup alarm, and lights are intact and functional
Daily Maintenance
- Check fuel level and drain water from fuel filter/separator if present
- Check engine oil and coolant levels
- Inspect radiator for debris and clean fins if needed
- Verify hydraulic fluid level and look for leaks
- Check brake fluid and ensure function of parking brake
- Lubricate all grease points as required
Every 50 Hours
- Grease all pivot pins, lift and slave cylinders, and driveline U-joints
- Inspect and clean fuel water separator
Every 250 Hours
- Change engine oil and replace engine oil filter
- Check axle oil levels and planetary hubs
- Inspect boom slide pads and adjust clearance or replace if worn
- Check and retorque wheel lug nuts
Every 500 Hours
- Replace hydraulic return filter
- Clean cab ventilation and A/C condenser filter
- Inspect air filter and replace if restriction lamp is active
Every 1000 Hours
- Replace air filter elements (primary and secondary)
- Inspect exhaust system for damage or leakage
- Check and clean battery terminals and tray
Every 2000 Hours
- Replace coolant and flush radiator and engine block
- Change hydraulic reservoir oil
- Change axle differential, transfer case, and planetary hub oil
- Check hydraulic system relief pressures
As-Needed Maintenance
- Service exhaust filter for ash buildup (dealer service only)
- Replace damaged decals, worn tires, or cracked glass
- Replace worn forks, damaged lights, or corroded terminals
