Ensure your telehandler stays in top shape with high-quality ignition switches, fuel filters, air filters, and more. This machine is designed for material handling performance across a range of demanding environments, and regular inspections and maintenance are essential to avoid downtime and prolong its service life. Don’t forget to stay on top of your maintenance—secure the parts you need to keep your Manitou MTA 8044 XT running smoothly!

Walk-Around Inspection

  • Check forks, attachment tool mount, and tilt cylinder for wear or cracks
  • Inspect boom chain, sheaves, and boom wear pads for looseness or damage
  • Check for leaks in hydraulic hoses and cylinders
  • Inspect tires for damage and proper pressure
  • Verify battery condition and terminal security
  • Test lights, horn, decals, frame level indicator, and mirrors

Daily Maintenance

  • Check engine oil, hydraulic oil, coolant, fuel, and DEF levels
  • Drain water from the fuel/water separator
  • Grease lift cylinders, boom pivots, and attachment mount as needed
  • Check brake, throttle, and frame level functions
  • Inspect radiator fins and dust ejector valve for buildup

Every 250 Hours

  • Inspect and torque boom chains
  • Grease boom slides and pins
  • Check axle differential and planetary hub oil levels

Every 500 Hours

  • Replace engine oil and filter
  • Replace fuel filters (primary and secondary)
  • Replace air filter and cabin air filter

  • Replace hydraulic return filter element
  • Change transmission oil and filter
  • Check open crankcase breather and hoses

Every 2,000 Hours

  • Change axle differential and planetary hub oil
  • Flush and replace hydraulic reservoir oil and suction strainer
  • Replace engine coolant and test thermostat

Annual Maintenance

  • Inspect slide pad thickness and adjust shim clearance
  • Clean condenser, battery terminals, and cab filter
  • Torque wheel nuts and check decals for readability
